You guys, something happened last weekend.
I fell in love.
It was love at first sight.
It was like a fairy tale.
It was like fireworks and trumpets and sparkly eyes.
I went to Home Goods for the first time ever.
Oh. My. Goodness.
Have you ever been to a HomeGoods before???
If you have, you totally know what I mean.
As I walked through the sliding doors and saw tables and shelves of gorgeousness, I was pretty sure I died and went to Heaven.
And the prices are AMAZING!
I’ve been wanting a white cake stand for a while but I haven’t been able to find one I like that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.
Until I went to HomeGoods.
They literally had 12 different white cake stands.
So I came home with one (and a bunch of other things) and started brainstorming what to do with it.
I tried grouping three little potted succulents on it as a bright and springy display.
It looked super cute.
Until Anakin decided they were there for his chewing pleasure.
Then I tested it as a pedestal for serving wine.
How cute would this be for a romantic dinner at home?
I also tried it as a filler on a shelf to give a stack of books some extra height.
The crispy white really gives the dark wood and old books a nice contrast.
I just got a new shipment of products for the Market and this utensil caddy looked so pretty on the stand.
I tested out a mini dish buffet and I have to say I’m loving the napkins in the dessert cloche!
That table runner came from HomeGoods, too.
Seriously, their prices are unreal.
Of all the ways I tested the stand, this one really takes the cake.
Cheesy pun (totally) intended.
That’s for you, Brad. Because you’re the king of puns.
The dish makes the perfect home for soaps and bath salts.
And speaking of bath salts, that stuff in the glass cup is pretty stinkin’ awesome.
I saw it in a restaurant bathroom in Pigeon Forge, TN.
They didn’t have soap, only this scrub.
It made my hands so soft and smells delicious.
At the risk of looking like a crazy person, I asked our server where I could get some.
Turned out, they sold it there!
Lucky for me, there’s a website on the jar for reorders. You can check it out here.
No post would be complete without an Anakin photobomb.
He’s such a ham…
Whoa, way off topic.
Anyway, in conclusion, HomeGoods is the best store ever, cake stands are super versatile, and restaurants have the best body polish.
So I’d like to know about your first time at HomeGoods.
Or what you use your cake stands for.
Or the weirdest thing you’ve ever bought from a restaurant.
Or what you had for breakfast.
Because we’re friends. And friends have the most random conversations.
