This is Fredrick. He’s a little flower pot owl adopted from the Dollar General for the hefty price of one dollar. Fredrick spends most of his time hibernating in a tote in the garage, but for the months of September, October, and November, he wakes up to come out to play with his best buddy Noah. They play a fun game of hide and seek all over the house and it’s Noah’s absolute favorite thing about fall.
Every day, Fredrick hangs out in a new spot and waits for Noah to find him.
Sometimes it’s an easy spot that’s right out in the open.
And other times he’s in rooms Noah usually doesn’t visit.
But before the day is over, Noah always finds him.
And we start all over again the next day.
Kids love scavenger hunts and this is the perfect little game to carry out throughout the whole season. It’s like Elf On The Shelf, but takes a lot less creativity (for those of you who don’t have time to create messes with a toy elf and then clean it all up again…).
Everyone needs a Fredrick. Your kiddos will love the idea. And you. For being an awesome parent. 🙂
