I recently completed a home office design for a client whose son has recently moved away to college and left his bedroom vacant. The homeowner is a teacher and does a lot of her work from home. After years of school papers and books spread out all over her bedroom and dining room table, she was desperate for a dedicated office space. In addition to her school work, she also needed a handicap accessible space for her other son to work on projects and practice playing his piano, as well as toy storage for her grandson. With a small budget of $500, we managed to create an amazing space to meet all of her needs.
This multi-functional room is now a space the family can use daily. And when her son comes to visit for holidays, the desk can be pushed up against the wall and an air mattress fits nicely in the center of the room. I am so in love with the classic and simple design scheme. I’d say this was definitely a success.
