It seems ironic that I’m writing a post about cleaning right now.
Like a lightening bolt may come down from the sky and burn a big spot in my yard.
Payback for acting like my house is actually currently clean.
It usually is. I promise.
But today is just not that day.
My dining room table is covered in three craft projects.
I’m talking paper, glue, strings, punches, stamps, party supplies, and I’m not even sure what’s in those Hobby Lobby bags.
And my son’s room is a disaster zone. We’re remodeling it.
And the laundry basket made it to the laundry room, but it’s contents hasn’t quite made it to the washer yet.
And this sounds crazy, but I actually don’t mind.
My house isn’t a magazine showroom.
I live here.
And so does another adult, a child, a dog, and two cats.
So how do I keep everything tidy without spending my entire Saturday doing chores from sun up to sun down?
I break the tasks up into portions and do a little bit each day.
When I saw this chart from Fix.com (below) I knew I had to share it.
It totally beats my handwritten list on a notepad stuck to the side of the refrigerator.
If you’re a “tackle everything on the weekend” kind of person, give this new strategy a try.
It will change your life.
Hello Saturday afternoon nap!
What is your cleaning routine? Do you clean all week or wait and do it all at once?
